At Body Craft Massage Therapy, our clinicians bring expertise from leading hospitals and cancer centers across New York City, including NYU Langone’s Perlmutter Cancer Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Mount Sinai, and Bellevue.

All Body Craft practitioners are New York State–licensed massage therapists or acupuncturists with advanced training in oncology and medical massage. We provide safe, effective support for clients navigating the side effects of current cancer treatment, chronic conditions related to past care, surgical preparation and recovery, and long-term health challenges.

How We Began

Body Craft was founded by Rebecca Smith — a former professional dancer and who was diagnosed with breast cancer in her mid-20’s — whose work is deeply informed by both professional training and lived experience. Inspired by her mother’s breast cancer journey and her own path through treatment and recovery, Rebecca built a practice rooted in empathy, clinical rigor, and the belief that care should adapt to the body’s changing needs.

What began as one therapist’s mission has grown into a collaborative practice of clinicians who share a commitment to skilled, medically-informed care. Our team combines technical precision with compassion, providing treatments that evolve with our clients — wherever they are in their healing process.
